Diamonds International – (Cozumel)

(5/5) I like this Cozumel location of Diamonds International. WHY?- The staff are super friendly. - I recently purchased some nice diamond earrings for my wife from here, and they were competitively priced as to what you would find in the USA ... and the diamonds were IGI certified. They even let us view the diamonds under their microscope. They made my wife happy ... so there you go haha - If you buy diamonds, jewelry or watches at a cruise port, you are far better off buying from a place like this vs Joe Blow's Jewelry Shop. Many things in Mexico & at other cruise ports are fake --- but at least what you buy from Diamonds International will be REAL. That matters! - One tip - when you buy jewelry whether it's in the USA or internationally...know what you are buying. I cannot emphasize this enough. Don't take advice from a jewelry salesperson. Look at what the same thing, that is certified, sales for at other jewelry stores AND at Costco AND at Sam's Club. It makes me cringe when someone pays too much for jewelry. Think Tiffany's in the States, where you only pay for the brand name. Sheesh. You can buy the same nearly flawless Tiffany's ring at Costco for 1/3 or 1/2 of the price, sometimes. Shop around! Know what you are buying. And don't make emotional decisions when buying jewelry. - I have also purchased a Movado watch in the past from Diamonds International, and it was a great deal. - 5 stars! We will be back again.

(1/5) If I could put no stars, I would. Guess 1 star will have to do. I visited this store and they were rude, disrespectful and racially discriminated against me and my sisters. We were planning to purchase some jewelry. When we walked in the gentleman at the front counter ig ored is and walked away. Went to someone else and another gentleman ignored us and walked away. By then we just wanted the bracelet and charm. My sisters were standing behind me and I asked for our charms, he didn't want to give them to us. Someone else walked in behind us and her gave it to her because she had light/white skin. The girl stated her party were all in attendance. I told her and the guy my party was right there. By now I am livid with the treatment my sisters and I have received. After all of that I returned the charm that was given to me. I will not and won’t ever by anything from a company who does not like black people. I will make sure all of my friends and family to not purchase anything from this company and this country. You need to make sure your people have diversity classes. You should never discriminate people. You come to the United States and we as Africans Americans do not discriminate against you. We welcome you. I will never ever purchase anything ever again from you.

(2/5) Over priced, pushy and hard to deal with. Not just at just this diamonds international but all of them. My husband and I have been on lots of cruises and whenever we go into one and are looking for something they are very over priced. Purchased a pair of earrings found a better price and they always say they have the best price and they can match or beat it and they couldn’t like they said they could. So decided we want to return them and it was like pulling teeth to get our money back. Finally after 2 weeks from getting back from our cruise we finally received a check for the money back. Will probably never shop at a diamonds international again no matter what carnival says because they are getting some sort of kick back it seems sending people to them. All I can say is they have very pretty but over priced jewelry.

(5/5) AMAZING experience with sam the manager & Daniel. From puerto maya. We’re here on a cruise and left with many jewelry pieces at amazing prices. All safe due to affiliation with carnival.

(2/5) they do have nice jewelry but you cant get a refund for nothing... we got a crown of light diamond after they said they could have it fit on my wifes ring. the diamond is slightly too big and sits way too high... only thing in the policy is to trade the diamond for equal price item or trade for store credit...were stuck paying 17k for the diamond that doesnt fit like they said it would and it's very frustrating that they don't have any returns allowed, not even a 30 day period. ALL SALES ARE FINAL SO BE CAREFUL...

(1/5) I would not recommend shopping here if you are wanting to pay in cash. Anything costing more than $250 and they require a credit card. When asked why, we were told because it is too much paperwork involved if paying with cash.....Also, not everything is cheaper with the Duty/Tax Free shopping. For the same watch, I was going to end up paying $300 more in Cozumel than here in the States.

(5/5) Aniel was very helpful and got me a GREAT price on my new Tanzanite bracelet!! He even went to another location to find one with an extra loop - for just the right fit!!! Thanks for the rum punch and fabulous service!

(3/5) Watch out for anything John Hardy, they will rip you off unless it's the cheaper end, anything higher you should check the prices on his website. Even the cruise price is overpriced, I can't stress enough the checking of his website.
