(5/5) I'm so glad we stopped by on a whim. My husband and I came at the end of October, and were looking for a gift to bring back to our daughter, and she really likes onyx and turquoise stones. Roberto helped us pick the perfect jewelry for her. Took the time to ask what she likes, we showed him a picture of her and her found the most exquisite chain to go with the pendent we picked out. Roberto took the time to polish all the stones and silver before we purchased them. He was so friendly, we were able to stay and chat with him for a bit. Very warm and welcoming. His hand painted items are from local artist and are unique. His prices are fair too. We told him we were flying home and he individually and carefully wrapped all the breakables, and put my daughters jewelry in a nice little pouch. He even recommended a great tequila & gave us directions where to get it. It was truly an marvelous experience.

I purchased a floral ring & silver chain necklace. After paying for the ring I didn’t have enough pesos on me but needed to be somewhere so I was taking the necklace off but he insisted I keep it & bring the pesos by the end of the day—which I swiftly did!! He introduced me to his son, gave me a cold beer during both interactions, & was fair with price! I love these pieces & I will think about Puerto Vallarta every time I look at them!

Head's up, the place isn't actually called Roberto's Silver, it's called El Paraíso de Flor, and that's what it says on the little sign hanging above the entrance...

(5/5) Roberto is great. My daughter and I found him on our first night in PV and were so impressed with his silver jewelry and friendly personality . I bought several pieces of quality jewelry from him. He recognized and greeted us every time we walked by his shop. I was looking for a particular style of chain he didn’t have, he had me describe it and within a couple days he was able to find what I wanted. He also went out of his way to have a ring sized for my daughter that she didn’t even purchase from him. He provided great personalized service.

(5/5) Roberto is awesome. Be aware that he might be a little hard to find initially. We walked by him a couple times before finding him. He's in a palapa booth at the end of the street towards the beach, in between other vendors booths. He keeps his wares covered behind blankets and plastic curtains....because real silver tarnishes in the humidity. He's extremely friendly and courteous, and his English is very good, but I think he also appreciated my poor attempts to practice my Spanish. He offered my wife and I cold drinks and a fresh towel to wipe the sweat off our faces ( it was very hot that day.) He was very helpful finding selections, and very straightforward. He seems to have something for everyone, not just silver, even authentic Mexican vanilla. Also very trusting. We didn't have enough cash, and their card reader wasn't working with my card. He pointed out the nearest bank and trusted us to bring him back his money. It was an excellent experience and we will return.

(5/5) Roberto has the largest selection I’ve seen in PV. He’s so kind. Such a good salesman and also just an overall pleasure to work with. Be prepared to spend a bit of money - not just because you will love several of his pieces in his massive inventory, but also because you find special gems you weren’t even looking for while browsing. The man knows honesty, and he will let you linger for as long as you need in order to decide on what items you connect with the most. I won’t go into my experience too much because I think he takes care of each serious customer differently to tailor to them. You don’t get that often, especially in the tourist heavy area. (5/5) Specifically went to Roberto's Silver based on recommendations made on this site. Glad I did! My wife was looking at a couple of bracelets, and I was looking for one as well. Nothing they had was long enough to fit my wrists, but Roberto assured me that he could have the one I liked lengthened. Told him I would be back in 2 days to check out the adjusted bracelet. Meanwhile, my wife was undecided at to what she wanted. Roberto's solution? Let her take the one she liked the most and 'test drive' it until we came back! Unbelievable trust!! (2/5) The owner negotiated the price of an item in US dollars. Then, once we had agreed upon a price he quoted a Mexican peso price. We didn't think much of it and paid in pesos. Once we left we realized that he had used an inflated exchange rate that had us overpaying by around 25%.If you shop at this place, be very careful and make sure you don't fall for the same trap we did.
