(5/5) We stopped there on a tour and at the store they walked us through the history of Pearl fishing in Cabo. The gentleman there was very knowledgeable and proud of the history. They also gave us Tequila shots and did a small bingo and the winner got to open their own oyster and receive the pearl within as their prize and a beautiful pearl it was for sure. They have a wide selection of handcrafted jewelry, some very nice pieces. Purchase this beautiful piece on my next visit this August 2025.

(1/5) Absolute scam, surprised hotels stand behind this store. They do a nice presentation about pearls, I'll give them that. The salesperson talked us into two rings, gave us a 'deal' for $1000 USD. We were rushed to pay and move on, not informed of the no return/no refund policy. Two days later the 'diamond' ring started losing stones but we had to fly home and couldn't go back. We contacted the store email on our receipt multiple times but they never responded. Verified that at least one of the rings does not have authentic stones. Working with the credit card company disputing this still but want to make sure others are aware of the shady business practices. Let me be clear: we would HAPPILY return these cheap, poorly made rings but the seller will not respond to our inquiries. Any company that has questionable business practices like this deserves any bad review they get.

(5/5) Stopped here during a tour of San Jose del Cabo and I am so glad we did because there is a lot beautiful jewelry to choose from, but we also got to learn about pearls and I won the chance to pick an oyster out of the water and keep the pearls! I picked one with twin pearls and was so excited that I now want to go pearl hunting everywhere! The host was very informative and nice. I will definitely go back!

(5/5) Bought my wife a Fire Opal ring July 1st... A+ experience. Great people. Loved the experience

(1/5) We were taken to The Velvet Box on a tour of San Jose Del Cabo and I was sold a fake pearl ring for $285 USD. The pearl came off the setting within a week of returning home so we took it to a local jeweler to fix and they confirmed it was fake!! I wish I had seen the other reviews of this place before we went there, I never would have purchased anything from them.

(5/5) We stopped in the VB while we were in CSJ and bought a beautiful ring that changes colors between blue and green. We cannot remember the name of the stone. By any chance if the owner sees this Post, can you tell us the correct description of we what bought? Thank you, Jim from Saint Louis

(1/5) My fiancé and I traveled to Cabo San Lucas for my 30th birthday and our pre-wedding honeymoon. We had taken a tour that took us to The Velvet Box where I found a beautiful pair of pearl earrings that I thought would go great with my wedding dress. The guy said they were $550 earrings because they were natural pearls. We paid $200 for them. When I got home I was curious and looked up how to test if the pearls were real. If you run real pearls across your tooth it feels gritty and fake are smooth. I tested a pair I had from a legitimate jewelry store and it was gritty. I tested the ones I got at The Velvet Box and low and behold they were FAKE! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!

(5/5) Great customer service- I bought a chain in Dec 2022 here. There is a lot of great jewellery pieces at this place. I had the chain break a few weeks after. I contacted them for the warranty and got the response right away with help to get it fixed in Canada. Eduardo handled the customer service and coordinated directly with a jewellery shop close to my place to get my chain fixed. I highly recommend this place and thank Eduardo for all his help!!

(1/5) Do not shop here! They take advantage of tourist. My boyfriend asked me to marry him while in Cabo. So we went to find the perfect ring while we were there. I should have known better but we were so happy and excited. We went into the store and received excellent service..... he bought my ring for $900 USD. I came back to look up my ring and it’s probably actually worth $150 USD. My now fiancé is the most hard working man and for him to get taken advantage of like that breaks my heart. What was suppose to be an 100% happiest moment ever, it still is, is now tarnished when I look at the ring knowing we were taken advantage of. It’s beautiful and I love it bc of the meaning but I’m so upset and aggravated.

(5/5) One of the nicest jewelry stores around the plaza. They have a lot of pieces to choose from. They mostly deal in silver pieces with several combinations of precious stones. My wife bought 4 pieces from them, which were reasonably priced. We got 2 types of coral earrings, 2 fire opal earrings.
