(2/5) The first sales lady (didn’t catch her name) I got was very nice, not pushy, very accommodating. I bought a gold plated bracelet and an emerald ring, plated gold. Sizing was too small so she sent it for sizing to 8.25 and she said in one day I will get it back (which would be Saturday evening). I went to pick up the ring and noticed a big dent/scratch on one side of it. The original lady who sold me the ring wasn’t there, I was picking up from Augusto. At first he pretended he didn’t see the scratch, and then after I pointed it out to him 3 times and said “Let’s be serious here. I know you can see the scratch/dent - it’s pretty obvious.” Then he decides to finally see the damage. He said he can send it back again to be fixed but since their workshop didn’t work on Sundays, the person will need to pick up Monday morning… We leave the Grand Princess resort on Monday at noon. I said Ok, nevermind, I will exchange for another emerald ring that I also liked the other day and it was my size so we don’t need to resize. The catch was, the new ring was cheaper by about $16USD. Original ring was $208USD, new ring was $192USD. I asked for a refund of the difference between the two rings (which is the right thing for the store to do) but right away Augusto says “i cannot refund you!” I was confused and said “what do you mean you cant refund me?” He started giving me some excuse that there is no way he can refund me (which is complete bs and bad business ethics!). After some back and forth, I finally gave up and ended up taking a $12 stainless steel chain (Augusto agreed to give me) that I wasn’t intending on buying to make up for the difference. Don’t buy from the store because of the poor business ethics and if you have to buy from the store, don’t buy from Augusto because he will only care about his commission money and target for the night, not about truly giving his customers a good experience. If you must buy, look for the lady (I forget her name but I will find out).Hindsight, I wouldn’t buy anything from this store if I knew how they operated.

(1/5) Tricks and scams. There is no free gift…not unless you purchase a “chain”, then you will get some cheap-looking pendant for “free”. Stay away from this junk place.

(1/5) If i could give a minus 1 i would. Be very careful buying jewelry at the Riu palace peninsula. They assured me my ring was a ruby set in silver. They sized it for me I was so excited to get it. Upon getting I notice it was not stamped silver and the stone didn't look like it did in the display case. It looked cheaper and lighter. They still assure me this it real. So I went to a jewelry store in town and I was told it is not silver and the stone is glass. I'm super pissed.I bought this ring for myself as a celebration for cancer treatment. I'm on the road to recovery and then I get screwed by these ppl. The hotel should be ashamed this cheapens them.

(1/5) Beware of purchasing jewelry from this business. They have zero integrity.My experience…. I bought jewelry three days ago. No issues. They were having a 50% off sale.So, I have to use my resort credits, and they have a sign that states that resort credits can be used at their store. Great, right? Well, the 50% sale is still going on, but, if you use your resort credits, they charge you full price, and claim that the 50% of that they will give you is the 50% of the FULL price. I returned EVERYTHING I purchased from them. I wouldn’t buy a roll of toilet paper from this company. They are a BAD joke…. And have zero integrity. I would recommend buying from ANY OTHER company rather than this dishonest company.

(1/5) Good morning, My name is Jennifer S and I am writing to inform you of the fraud that took place at the jewellery store on your premises at the Ocean Riviera Paradise Hotel.During my stay at the hotel from the 28th January to the 11th of February 2024, I was forced into buying jewellery from your shopping centre H10 Jewellery shop in the resort and not only that, the man deliberately charged me twice! I know that it was a deliberate action because, on my bank statement, he has put separate headings for the purchase! One is for the jewellery and the other is for a phone or accessory to do with a phone! I've informed the bank of the fraud and they're looking into it! I am informing you because I would like you to fire the guy who unapologetically forced me to purchase jewellery when all I wanted was the free pendant gift that was given to me by the travel club department and secondly for taking advantage of the fact that i didn’t know how to read Spanish so he charged me twice! My room number was 4415 in the Eden building. I have already made a written complaint on the 11th of February 2024 about some other issues I had to endure whilst staying with the Ocean Riviera Paradise as a solo young black woman.

(1/5) Stayed at Unico Riviera Maya. Bought a bracelet that needed an extender chain added. Picked up the bracelet the next day. Extender chain broke in less than an hour. Took bracelet back to store requesting extender be removed so I could have a better quality one added when I get home. They said impossible because they BROKE OFF a piece of my bracelet to put on the extender and now the clasp could only be attached to the extender. He pointed to the part they cut off. Refused to refund me.

(1/5) Stay away from this store. Absolute scam and they hike up the price when it’s clearly written on the tag. I was looking at a sterling silver ring for $125 US and the man wanted to charge me over one thousand US dollars or 33,000 in pesos.. do not shop here. Absolutely horrible.

(5/5) Bought a beautiful piece with necklace today store is clean well looked after and beautifully presented the girl was knowledgeable about the stones where they were gotten from and the property of each she also advised of each metal quality and if it was plated and what the care of and toughness for everyday used of each type metal was down to if it would need cleaning or not She had good knowledge of style and what suited each piece as well as having good knowledge of the cultural and historical art work and the regions they came from

When you report the fact, meaning earing the exact opposite... and the manager and the personal say your a liar... be sure I will never return again ever and you probably should consider buying your souvenir and jewelry somewhere else. Una cosa que no me gustó mucho fue que los precios estaban en dólares y en pesos mexicanos, y al querer pagar con pesos (pues era mucho más conveniente por el cambio que habían usado) me dijeron que tenia que basarme en el precio en dólares y que el cambio me lo iban a hacer de otra manera

(1/5) Mi experiencia en el local fue buena… demasiado buena para el producto que me vendieron. Un anillo que era bañado en oro 18K, me lo compre hace menos de 1 mes y esta plateado. Cuando me lo vendieron consulte específicamente si iba a perder el color, si se iba a oxidar a ponerse verde o lo que fuera… me dijeron que no, que lo unico que iba a pasar es que con el uso a largo plazo pierda el brillo. Hoy a 20 días de la compra, sin uso diario, el anillo dorado esta plateado y no fue barato. Una vergüenza que te estafen de esta forma. Adjunto foto del antes y el después.
